Class Matrix Notes
Street Stock Division
- Street Stock 1K – The maximum power output of the system is limited to 1000 Watts RMS.
Only one woofer (any size) may be used.
- Street Stock 2K – The maximum power output of the system is limited to 2000 Watts RMS.
One or Two woofers (any size) may be used.
- Street Stock 4K – The maximum power output of the system is limited to 4000 Watts RMS.
An unlimited number of woofers (any size) may be used.
Street Division
- Street Trunk – No woofer quantity limit (Maximum 4 conductors per sub) – No amplifier quantity limit (Maximum 4000 Wrms total) – All amplifiers and woofers must be installed within the trunk
- Street A – 1-15 or 2-12’s or 3-10’s or 4-8’s / Maximum of 1 amp (or 2 monoblock amplifiers) – 2 Conductors total between amp rack and sub enclosure
- Street B – 1-18 or 2-15’s or 4-12’s or 6-10’s or 8-8’s / Maximum of 2 amps (or 4 monoblock amplifiers) – 4 Conductors total between amp rack and sub enclosure
Super Street NW Class
- Maximum of 4 amps (or 8 monoblock amplifiers) – 8 Conductors total between amp rack and sub enclosure. Maximum 4 conductors per sub
Glossary of Terms
- Alts – Number of alternators permitted
- Amps – Maximum number of physical amplifiers permitted
- Battery Box – Battery box permitted
- Battery Qty – Maximum number of batteries permitted
- Battery Size – Physical size limits for each battery in cubic inches
- Caps – Number of Farads permitted
- Maximum Conductors – Maximum number of electrical conductors between the amplifier(s) and the sub enclosure. A normal speaker wire is composed of two conductors; 1 for positive and 1 for negative.
- Normal Use – Normal use restriction applies
- Podium – Podium use permitted
- Power – When amplifier power limits are specified, the dBDRA will use an approved power clamp meter to verify compliance during competition. If power meters are not available, the dBDRA will use the maximum published RMS rating for the amplifier. (The dBDRA reserves the right to verify the accuracy of any published rating.)
- Run – Vehicle may be running during competition (Maximum RPM is limited to 2000.)
- Standard Battery – 12-volt, 6-cell (connected in series), lead-acid or gel-type battery.
- Trunk Vehicle – A vehicle with a closed compartment that is separate from the passenger compartment. Sedans are a good example of a trunk vehicle because the trunk area is separate from the passenger compartment and a steel trunk lid must be opened to access the trunk compartment.
- Vehicle Mods – Structural vehicle modifications permitted
- Volts – Battery voltage (value in parenthesis indicates maximum voltage in the lanes)
- Walls – Walls are permitted
- Woofers – Number of woofers allowed
