This format is also designed to cater to the vast  \t\t\t\tmajority of auto sound enthusiasts who design and build their  \t\t\t\tsystems to sound great at moderate to high listening levels.  \t\t\t\tEach contestant&#8217;s sound system is scored based on how loud it  \t\t\t\twill play (SPL), the frequency responsoe of the system (RTA),  \t\t\t\tand Installation Quality. These elements form the basis for a  \t\t\t\tPsychlone event.<\/p>\n<p> The dB Drag Racing Association (dBDRA) has gone to great lengths  \t\t\t\tto insure that the rules for competing in Psychlone are as  \t\t\t\tcomprehensive and unambiguous as possible. Even so, there will  \t\t\t\tinvariably be times when a particular application or  \t\t\t\tinstallation will fall outside the scope of this rulebook. When  \t\t\t\tthose occasions arise, it is the responsibility of the head  \t\t\t\tjudge to make a determination as to whether the incident in  \t\t\t\tquestion abides by the &#8220;spirit&#8221; of Psychlone competition. As a  \t\t\t\tcompetitor, it is your responsibility to understand the rules  \t\t\t\tcontained in this book and to abide by any decisions rendered by  \t\t\t\tthe head judge.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\"><strong>Psychlone Creed<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>I will never operate my system in a manner that will  \t\t\t\t\tdisturb those around me. <\/li>\n<li>I will never operate my system in a manner that could  \t\t\t\t\tresult in injury. <\/li>\n<li>I will never operate my system in violation of the law. <\/li>\n<li>I will do my best to represent the sport of Psychlone in  \t\t\t\t\ta positive fashion. <\/li>\n<li>I will conduct myself in a professional manner while  \t\t\t\t\tparticipating at events. <\/li>\n<li>I will do my best to support those companies and  \t\t\t\t\tretailers who support our sport. <\/li>\n<li>I will always abide by the Psychlone rules when  \t\t\t\t\tcompeting and will do my best to insure that others abide by  \t\t\t\t\tthe rules as well. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td align=\"left\"><strong>Safety Guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> The safety of the competitors, judges, and bystanders at a  \t\t\t\tPsychlone event are of paramount importance. As the operator of  \t\t\t\tthe competition vehicle and its sound system, the competitor has  \t\t\t\ta tremendous responsibility both to himself and to those around  \t\t\t\thim with regards to safety. Competitors should clearly  \t\t\t\tunderstand the following issues prior to participating in a  \t\t\t\tPsychlone event. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Operation of a motor vehicle is inherently dangerous.  \t\t\t\t\tYou MUST insure that the operation of your vehicle will not  \t\t\t\t\tendanger yourself or those around you. Please adhere to all  \t\t\t\t\tlocal laws and verify that your pathway is clear before  \t\t\t\t\tmoving your vehicle. Although officiating staff members may  \t\t\t\t\tsometimes offer assistance in moving and\/or directing  \t\t\t\t\ttraffic, the responsibility for the operation of the  \t\t\t\t\tcompetition vehicle ultimately lies with the competitor. <\/li>\n<li>Auto sound systems are capable of producing high sound  \t\t\t\t\tpressure levels. Exposure to high sound pressure levels may  \t\t\t\t\tcause hearing damage. NEVER operate your sound system in  \t\t\t\t\tsuch a manner as to expose yourself or others to high sound  \t\t\t\t\tpressure levels. In addition, listening to your sound system  \t\t\t\t\tat high volumes while driving may prevent you from hearing  \t\t\t\t\temergency vehicles, vehicle or train horns, etc. Always  \t\t\t\t\toperate your sound system in accordance with local laws and  \t\t\t\t\tnever operate your sound system in a manner that could  \t\t\t\t\tinterfere with the safe operation of your vehicle. This  \t\t\t\t\tincludes making adjustments to your sound system while you  \t\t\t\t\tare driving. <\/li>\n<li>Custom auto sound installations may affect the safety  \t\t\t\t\tand\/or integrity of your vehicle. Although some competitors  \t\t\t\t\tmay elect to have their sound system installed by others, it  \t\t\t\t\tis ultimately the competitor&#8217;s responsibility to validate  \t\t\t\t\tthat his or her installation is safe. Particular care should  \t\t\t\t\tbe taken with regards to electrical wiring. All power wires  \t\t\t\t\tshould be fused directly at the battery to minimize the risk  \t\t\t\t\tof a fire hazard. Sound components such as speakers,  \t\t\t\t\tamplifiers, enclosures, etc. should be fastened to the  \t\t\t\t\tvehicle in such as way as to prevent them from causing  \t\t\t\t\tinjury or damage in the event of an accident. Vehicles that  \t\t\t\t\thave been structurally modified to accommodate the sound  \t\t\t\t\tsystem or vehicles that exceed the maximum gross weight  \t\t\t\t\tlimits as detailed in the vehicle&#8217;s operating manual should  \t\t\t\t\tnever be driven on public streets or highways. <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p> The dB Drag Racing Association and its affiliates are not  \t\t\t\tqualified to determine the safety and\/or legality of a given  \t\t\t\tcompetition vehicle. This responsibility lies with the  \t\t\t\tcompetitor. As such, the dB Drag Racing Association and its  \t\t\t\taffiliates cannot be responsible for any accidents, damages, or  \t\t\t\tinjuries that occur at a Psychlone event. By participating in a  \t\t\t\tPsychlone event, the competitor agrees to take full  \t\t\t\tresponsibility for his or her actions and any accidents,  \t\t\t\tdamages, or injuries that may occur. The dBDRA strongly  \t\t\t\tencourages competitors to operate their vehicles and sound  \t\t\t\tsystems in a manner that is consistent with local laws.
